Expodental Meeting 2020 The dental sector’s leading event will be held in Rimini in May.

Expodental Meeting, which drew to a successful close in 2019 recording more than 21,600 visitors and 350 exhibitors, is set to become the sector’s landmark event in Italy in 2020.

Already in 2019 the event, organised by UNIDI, confirmed the positive trend of a growing market segment. The attendance of professionals and operators was 8% higher than in the previous year, also as a result of the commitment of exhibiting companies, which expertly involved the public by proposing recreational moments and social gatherings along with the presentation of innovations, practical demonstrations and scientific events.

Expodental Meeting 2020 has already received bookings from exhibitors for up to 85% of the exhibition area. Besides Italian companies, the presence of international exhibitors is also increasing. They have finally realised the strategic importance of the event, which is undoubtedly a landmark in the entire Mediterranean basin.

Then January marked the launch of an important communication campaign involving both visitors and potential visitors to ensure a remarkable increase in the attendance at the forthcoming event.

The campaign, organised also in partnership with leading journals and magazines in the sector, is studied to actively involve the visitor by taking into account the various professions with strategic planning implemented through social media, Facebook and, especially, Instagram, along with printed communications.

The scope is to turn subjects attending the fair from passive users of the event into actors and brand ambassadors of Expodental Meeting.

The trade fair’s internationalisation project has been renewed. With the cooperation of ITA/ICE and the support of MAECI (Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation), about 1,500 B2B meetings will be held between Italian companies and 100 foreign dealers from 25 countries. An encouraging +10% of Italian companies involved in the B2B meetings, with +10% of meetings compared to the previous edition, indicates the growing interest of Italian companies in foreign opportunities, and that Expodental Meeting is an essential platform for visibility in the international scene.

Finally, the scientific programme for 2020 will be crucial for the training of all professionals, with the partnership established by UNIDI with Associations, Scientific Societies and Universities, and with special focus on digital innovations.
